Final home and away game for the season, and it was great to see the boys put into play so well all the skills and team rules we have been working on over the year. The game was set up in the first Qtr with ruckman (Sammy) and the onballers providing plenty of opportunities to our forwards, with Baz, Hugo & Thom Whitson (twice), all kicking truly when given the opportunity. The dewy conditions made things more difficult in the 2nd Qtr as the game developed into a bit of a scrap, although it was great to see Mark & Tom B attack the footy with such vigour to win the footy, whilst Ben D's excellent centreing assisted Hugo in kicking his 2nd of the day. The solitary goal in the 3rd Qtr was a work of art, with Connor, Ben P, Jordy & Baz all teaming well to set up Mark who kicked his first goal for the side, much to the delight of the Zebby faithful. The final qtr was similar to the first, with Thom Whitson bagging another 2 (like the first), whilst goal sneaks Thom B & Jordy crumbed well to finish off the excellent work of Liam, Connor & Scout who was having his best game of the year in the ruck. Today really was a fantastic team effort with every player contributing to the result. The Lightening Premiership on offer next week. Good luck.
